Recent Artwork
I have been very busy recently with developing my photographs in the darkroom, trying to figure out which ones go into a collection and which ones don't fit, matting them by hand, etc. It's a lot more work (and extremely time consuming!) than you think it would be. I finally got around to scanning in my recent black and white prints as well as taking pictures of the final products after I matted them. I love how they turned out!

Kate's Photoshoot
Every once in a while my sister Kate and I go out around town so I can take pictures of her. Today she wore the skirt I made for her a few weeks ago and I think it's really cute! We had fun even though it was brutally hot outside this afternoon, but what else can we expect from St. Louis weather in August?
Isn't she pretty?! I love her hair.

Mark and Amanda
I spent a week in Utah this summer with a few friends and during a trip to Thanksgiving Point Gardens I snapped this photo. It's one of my favorite pictures from the entire trip.

My Own Backyard
The following pictures are just of a few things around my house, mainly the backyard because I absolutely love the landscaping. I figured I would go out one last time and get some shots while everything was still alive and green before autumn arrives!

A little pink flower floating in a birdbath.

Autumn is almost here! I love the colors this time of year.

A little stepping stone right after a rain shower.

Megan and Casey: Married!
My cousin Megan married her fiance Casey this past summer. The wedding was very small and intimate with only family members. The day however couldn't have been more perfect. The bride was beautiful, the reception was full of close relatives. Here are a few detail pictures and then some from the reception!

Megan asked me if I would make the flowers for the wedding because I had taken a few floral design classes the previous semester. It was a lot of work but it was so much fun! She loved them, so that was the important thing! The next picture is the bridesmaid's bouquet, which she later used as her "toss" bouquet. The picture after is her bridal bouquet.

Their first dance as husband and wife.

Taking a little break from all of the festivities. So gorgeous.

After my cousin Lindsey (Megan's younger sister) saw this picture she told me it belonged in a picture frame advertisement. I think it is a very sweet moment, and more importantly it shows in detail that we did an excellent job in lacing up her dress haha!

Erin and Ben Engaged!
Erin and I have been best friends since Kindergarten so I was beyond thrilled for her when she called me right after she got engaged to her amazing fiance Ben. I have never seen two people more meant for each other than these guys. Ben asked me if I would be willing to take their engagement pictures during the weekend they were planning on coming up to visit me at Mizzou... of course I said yes! Here are a few of my favorites.

The columns on the Mizzou campus are a very popular spot but somehow we were lucky enough to be the only ones anywhere near that location that afternoon so we took full advantage of it.

Had to stop for a kiss against the amazing brick and mosaic wall.

Aren't they the cutest couple on the planet?! I may be a little biased of course, but still!

Having a little fun at the end of a long day. I can't even express how much I love these two. I can't wait for your wedding! I won't be taking pictures that day though (ok, maybe I'll sneak a few in) because I get to be a bridesmaid!
